Delaware's Tax-Free Storage Advantage

Storing your inventory in Delaware means every inbound purchase is made in a 0% sales tax state. This isn't a loophole — it's Delaware law. International sellers shipping from Turkey, the UK, UAE or China to our Claymont warehouse restock into a state with no sales tax, which can reduce landed cost by 5–10% on purchases that are not already exempt.

Who Uses Our Storage?

Our storage clients include Amazon FBA sellers holding buffer stock between prep runs, Shopify brands with variable demand, international e-commerce importers maintaining US inventory, and multi-channel sellers managing seasonal spikes.

How Pallet Storage Is Actually Billed

Our pallet storage is tiered, not flat. Each pallet is charged in its own band, so your total never falls as you add pallets — but your average rate does.

BandRate
First 4 pallets$5.00 / pallet / day
Pallets 5 – 9$4.00 / pallet / day
Pallets 10 – 19$3.00 / pallet / day
Pallet 20 and above$2.00 / pallet / day

This is the part sellers most often get wrong when comparing quotes. Seeing "$2.00 at 20 pallets" and calculating 20 × $2 × 30 = $1,200 gives you the wrong number. The real figure is $2,160, because the first nineteen pallets are still charged in their own bands.

PalletsCalculationPer dayPer month
33 × $5$15$450
5(4 × $5) + (1 × $4)$24$720
10(4 × $5) + (5 × $4) + (1 × $3)$43$1,290
20(4 × $5) + (5 × $4) + (10 × $3) + (1 × $2)$72$2,160

We publish this table because the alternative is a customer discovering it on their first invoice. Use the storage calculator on our homepage to model your own volume.

Pallet or Carton — Which You Need

Carton and shelf storage is billed by volume at $5.00 per cubic foot per month. It suits small inventories and slow-moving SKUs where a whole pallet would sit half empty.

The switching point is around 30 cubic feet. Below that, carton storage is usually cheaper. Above it, palletising costs less and handling is faster. A standard pallet holds roughly 60–70 cubic feet of stacked cartons, so a full pallet at $5/day is meaningfully cheaper per cubic foot than the same volume stored loose.

If you are near the threshold, tell us and we will run both numbers on your actual dimensions rather than guessing.

What Is Included

There is no setup fee, no minimum commitment and no long-term contract. Storage is billed by the day, so you pay for the days you use.

What Storage Actually Costs You Beyond the Rate

The daily rate is the visible cost. The one that hurts is slow inventory.

A pallet sitting for a year at the $5 band costs $1,825 — often more than the goods on it are worth. Storage pricing is not the problem in that scenario; the forecast is. We will flag stock that has not moved in 90 days rather than quietly billing it, because a client who is losing money on dead inventory does not stay a client.

If stock is not going to move, disposal at $1.25 per unit or $125 per pallet is usually the cheaper answer, and we would rather say so.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does pallet storage cost in Delaware?
From $5.00 per pallet per day, tiered down to $2.00 by volume. Billing is tiered, so each pallet is charged in its own band.

Why is 20 pallets $2,160 and not $1,200 a month?
Because tiering applies per pallet, not to the whole shipment. The first four are billed at $5, the next five at $4, the next ten at $3, and only the twentieth at $2.

Should I use pallet or carton storage?
Carton storage at $5.00 per cubic foot per month suits volumes below roughly 30 cubic feet. Above that, palletising is cheaper and handling is faster.

Is there a minimum storage period or contract?
No. Storage is billed by the day with no minimum commitment, no setup fee and no long-term contract.

Is receiving charged separately?
Carton and parcel receiving is free. Pallet receiving is $25.00 per pallet. Container receiving is quoted individually.
